The Role of a Channel
Aug 30, 2026
For a long time, I was more comfortable talking about the subconscious mind and energy healing than saying something much simpler: I am a spiritual channel.
Channeling developed naturally in my work. I began receiving information I didn't consciously know, sometimes as an image or feeling and sometimes as a clear sense of where the work needed to go. Eventually, I also became aware that I wasn't only receiving information. I experienced myself bringing energy through.
Learning to trust that changed my work, but it also forced me to decide what I believe the role of a spiritual channel actually is.
I don't believe it is to become someone else's authority.
In fact, I believe good spiritual work should ultimately make you less dependent on the person guiding you, not more.
Channeling Should Return You to Yourself
When I channel, my intention is to connect with Divine and higher spiritual energies aligned with love and the highest good. Sometimes information comes through. Sometimes the experience is primarily energetic. Often it is both.
I think of the energetic aspect as recalibration, but not because I believe I am deciding what another person needs to become.
Quite the opposite.
We spend our lives accumulating ideas about who we are. Experiences with family, relationships, rejection, success, fear, expectations, and belonging can gradually become beliefs about what is safe for us, what we deserve, and what kind of life is possible.
After enough repetition, those beliefs don't necessarily feel learned anymore.
They feel like identity.
This is where my work with the subconscious and my channeling intersect.
The subconscious can help reveal what we've learned to carry. Channeling allows me to approach the person from a spiritual perspective that isn't confined to that history.
The question underneath both is the same:
What is actually you, and what have you carried for so long that you've mistaken it for you?
The Channel Is Not the Authority
This distinction has become increasingly important to me.
Spiritual guidance can become problematic when someone begins believing that another person has greater access to the truth of their life than they do.
That is not what I want to create.
I can tell you what I receive. I can bring through energy. I can create a space in which something may become visible or feel different. But you still have discernment. You still have free will. And you remain the authority over your own life.
I don't want someone leaving my work thinking, Tara knows who I am.
I want something closer to:
I am beginning to recognize myself.
That is a very different relationship with spiritual work.
Beyond the Identity You Learned
This belief became central to MEET, the first stage of The MORE Method.
MEET isn't about constructing a better version of yourself. I think transformation is too often presented as though the person you are now is a problem that needs to be upgraded.
I'm interested in something else.
What happens when you recognize that the belief you've carried for thirty years was learned when you were eight? What changes when something you've called your personality turns out to be a protective response that once served you? Who are you when you stop automatically defining yourself through everything that has happened to you?
Those aren't questions I want to answer for someone.
They are questions I want to help someone become capable of experiencing for themselves.
That is why channeling is part of MORE rather than simply another subject I teach inside it. There are things we can understand intellectually, but understanding yourself and experiencing yourself differently are not necessarily the same thing.
For me, channeling creates space for the second.
I open the experience, bring through the Divine guidance and energy I receive, and allow each person to meet it through their own discernment.
Because I don't believe the deepest purpose of spiritual work is to make someone better at hearing the channel.
I believe it is to help them become better at hearing themselves.
Are You Ready to Meet Yourself Differently?
The MORE Method begins with MEET—an experience designed to help you recognize what you've learned to believe about yourself, separate it from who you actually are, and begin seeing yourself beyond the identity your past helped create.
WHAT ARE YOU NOT SEEING YET?
The patterns shaping your life aren't always the ones you can easily recognize. Some have been with you so long they simply feel like you.
The free MORE Method helps you look beneath what's familiar, recognize what's been influencing your choices, and begin separating what you've learned from what you actually want.
